Lessons learnt in FIFA World Cup 2010

1. USE TECHNOLOGY
Frank Lampard’s goal was ruled out because that referee is blind! If that goal was counted, Germany might not have been so superior to England after all as they were heavily depending on their discipline counter attacks.

With the help of technology, we Asians now have the accessibility to invest in investments such as shares or real estates in other continents which are highly attractive in value due to the US Financial Crisis & European Debt Crisis. E.g, We have facebook to connect to real estate agents in US and Google Earth to view our properties in US. Are you capitalizing on the power of technology when managing your wealth?

2. DEFENSIVE FOOTBALL DOESN’T WIN
Australia learned to their cost against Germany and was completely washed out! North Korea wasn’t spared when they were playing the 5-3-2 strategy and was duly thumped by Portugal. In life, do you play to win or do you play a game hoping not to lose?
I always believe that whatever you focus on, expands.. If you focus on not losing, chances are, you will lose! If you focus on winning, you are the winner!

3. MULTICULTURALISM IS GOOD
One of the team that I do not support but enjoy watching was Germany. With names like Khedira, Podolski, Cacau, Ozil, Boateng and Aogo all blended together, Germany was a mixture of Europe-South America alliance which was a winning combination.
For years, we have been promoting the importance of Malaysia, a land of diversified culture. Yet, there are still racism remarks made almost every month. Unless we Malaysians learn to work together as a team like the Germans, we won’t be able to unleash our fullest potential!

4. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS FAVOURITES
Despite having a bunch of talented individuals like Rooney, Ronaldo, Kaka, and even Messi, that doesn’t make a team. The fundamental flaw in England, Portugal, Brazil and Argentina wasn’t the lack of technique but the lack of strategy.

Think about it, as you dream of achieving your financial goals, do you rely on that single product which is an endowment program or mutual funds to retire or do you strategize your wealth for financial freedom?
